A Tattoo Design Process Without the Pressure

Your design, with a multi-stage approval process, and no settling.

Getting a tattoo is a commitment. You’re choosing something that will become part of your body, and you deserve to feel confident about that decision. I don’t believe you should ever have to settle for a design that doesn’t feel quite right just because your appointment is approaching.

That’s why I’ve built my tattoo design process around one simple promise: If we can’t create a design you’re genuinely happy with, I’ll give you a full refund of your deposit. (Not including the 10% platform fee!)

At Tattoo Kiss, I want the experience to feel collaborative, comfortable, and personal. Your ideas matter, your feedback matters, and you always have the final say.

Here’s what you can expect when we work together.

Tell Me What You’re Looking For

Step 1: Submit your tattoo request form.

Every custom tattoo starts this way. Your first step is to fill out my tattoo request form and share as much information as you can about your vision.

Include your inspiration images, preferred placement, approximate size, style preferences, and any meaningful details you’d like me to incorporate. You can also share what you don’t want. Knowing what doesn’t appeal to you helps me understand your vision just as much as knowing what does.

You don’t need to have every detail figured out. That’s what the design process is for!

Let’s Get on the Same Page

After I receive your request, I’ll review your ideas and reach out with any clarifying questions. I want to make sure I understand what you’re looking for and that your project is a good fit for my work.

If I accept your request, I’ll send you instructions for paying your deposit to officially reserve your appointment.

Once reserved, I’ll gather any additional information I need before starting your custom tattoo design. I want us to have a clear direction before I start.

Your Input Matters

Now comes the creative part!

I’ll use everything we’ve discussed to develop a sketch that reflects your ideas, preferences, and overall vision.

Once I have an initial sketch, I’ll send it to you for review.

This is your opportunity to tell me what you love, what you’d like changed, and anything that doesn’t feel quite right. Maybe something needs to move, a detail needs adjusting, or the overall composition needs a little more work.

Whatever your feedback, I want to hear it!

You never have to worry about hurting my feelings by asking for changes. I’d much rather know what isn’t working than have you feel obligated to accept something you don’t love.

We’ll work through adjustments together until we’ve reached a design direction you’re happy with.

The Final Design

My goal is to have your final drawing ready 24 hours before your appointment. This gives you time to look everything over without feeling rushed. If you’d like to receive your drawing sooner, just let me know!

But what happens if your drawing isn’t ready by that 24-hour mark?

Don’t panic! It doesn’t mean you’ll walk into your appointment unprepared or have to settle for something you aren’t happy with.

Sometimes a design needs a little more attention. Other times, we discover that a few adjustments will make all the difference. That’s okay!

I intentionally schedule extra time during appointments so we can review your design, exchange ideas, and make final adjustments together. Sometimes seeing the design in person and discussing it in real time makes it easier to get everything just right.

Whether you receive your drawing days before your appointment or we finish refining it together that day, your approval always comes first.

We Won’t Tattoo Until You Love It

Before I begin tattooing, I’ll make sure you’re comfortable with the final design.

You’ll have the opportunity to review the artwork, discuss any remaining details, and approve the final design, confirm its placement and sizing, and see the printed stencil before we begin. I won’t start tattooing until you give me the go-ahead.

And if we can’t get the design to a place you’re genuinely happy with?

I’ll cancel the appointment and issue a full refund of your deposit. (Not including the 10% platform fee!) No hard feelings and no risk to you!

The Tattoo Kiss Guarantee: What You’re Promised

My guarantee applies to the design approval process for your booked tattoo. Here’s what that means:

  • You have the final say. I will never tattoo you without your approval of the final design.
  • Your feedback matters. You can request adjustments throughout the design process.
  • No pressure to settle. You’re never obligated to accept a design that doesn’t feel right.
  • No arbitrary deadlines. Your guarantee remains in place even if your final drawing isn’t ready 24 hours before your appointment.
  • Your deposit is protected. If we can’t reach a design you’re happy with, I’ll refund your deposit.
  • No design fees. You won’t be charged for the design process if we can’t reach an agreement on the design.

I’d rather refund your money than tattoo something you aren’t excited to wear. Your comfort and confidence matter more to me than sticking to a drawing deadline.

A Tattoo Should Feel Right, Not Rushed

This is going on your body, not mine. You deserve to feel good about what you’re choosing.

I know that sharing creative feedback can sometimes feel uncomfortable, especially when you’re worried about disappointing someone or asking for too much. I want you to know that you never need to hold back with me.

My private, one-on-one studio gives us the space to take our time, communicate openly, and create something together without the pressure of a busy tattoo shop.

Whether this is your first tattoo or one of many, I want you to leave feeling confident, heard, and genuinely excited about your new tattoo.

Your comfort matters. Your opinion matters. And your approval always comes first.

That’s the Tattoo Kiss Guarantee. ♡
